From Afghanistan to Uganda, discover how we've partnered with mission-driven organizations to create lasting change across hundreds of engagements.
Featured Case Studies
Each engagement represents a unique partnership built on trust, deep expertise, and our commitment to creating sustainable, locally-led solutions.
Advancing Gender Equality
Empowering Women Through Capacity Building
The Challenge
Afghan civil society groups faced huge obstacles—80% of women and girls were illiterate, and many local organizations lacked basic management, finance, and governance skills. Even with donor funding, most grants were small and organizations were fragile, limiting their reach and impact. We were asked to help improve capacity and sustainability across a network of women-led groups.
Strengthening Judicial Institutions
Building Trust in Justice Systems
The Challenge
Following Albania's judicial reforms in 2016, the newly created High Judicial Council (HJC) needed a strategic plan but lacked a clear mission and vision. Without strong institutions, public trust in the judiciary remained low. The independent fact‑checking NGO Faktoje also needed strategic direction to combat misinformation.
Building Local Fundraising Capacity
Sustaining Agricultural Development
The Challenge
USAID's Market Access and Poverty Alleviation (MAPA) program supported rural producer associations through FDTA‐Valles, a Bolivian foundation managing more than 100 projects for 100 organizations and 44 technology providers. These initiatives increased farmers' income by 90%, but the $8.4 million trust fund that supported them was running out. FDTA‐Valles needed a sustainable fundraising strategy to keep its programs alive.
Empowering Youth to Prevent Violence
Building a Regional Youth Movement
The Challenge
Youth in the Caribbean face high rates of violence, limited access to education and employment, and few opportunities to build life skills. USAID's Community, Family and Youth Resilience program sought to address these issues across three countries but needed a unified youth‑led strategy and consistent training.
Managing Growth for ITDP
Scaling Transportation Innovation
The Challenge
The Institute for Transportation & Development Policy (ITDP) experienced a major funding influx that quadrupled its budget. Rapid expansion stretched management systems across eight countries, threatening ITDP's ability to deliver consistent, high‑quality programs.
Reinventing a Global Peace Network
Modernizing Peacebuilding Collaboration
The Challenge
After three decades, the Partners Network—a consortium of 22 organizations dedicated to peace and democracy—struggled with outdated structures and unclear governance. It needed a new vision and operating model to remain relevant in a changing world.
Empowering Youth Leaders
Building Bridges Across Divides
The Challenge
Young people in Kosovo faced bleak prospects: poor quality education, high unemployment, and few chances to develop leadership skills. Ethnic divisions further disconnected them from civic life, and extremist groups preyed on their frustration.
Transforming Agricultural Leadership
Strengthening Food Security
The Challenge
Uganda's agricultural sector employs nearly 70% of the population and contributes 26% of GDP, yet yields remain low and coordination between public and private sectors is weak. USAID's Enabling Environment for Agriculture (EEA) program needed to strengthen institutions and leadership across the value chain.
